Mennecy ist eine französische Gemeinde südlich von Paris mit 15.292 Einwohnern im Département Essonne in der Region Île-de-France. Sie gehört zum Arrondissement Évry und zum Kanton Mennecy. Die Einwohner werden Menneçois genannt.Mennecy liegt in der Landschaft des Hurepoix am Fluss Essonne. Im Norden wird die Gemeinde durch Lisses und Villabé begrenzt, im Nordosten durch Ormoy, im Osten und Südosten durch Le Coudray-Montceaux, im Süden durch Chevannes, im Westen und Südwesten durch Fontenay-le-Vicomte sowie im Nordwesten durch Écharcon.
