Fontaines ist eine französische Gemeinde mit 1.877 Einwohnern im Département Saône-et-Loire in der Région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Die Gemeinde gehört zum Arrondissement Chalon-sur-Saône und zum Kanton Chagny.Fontaines liegt am Canal du Centre. Zahlreiche Weinsorten werden hier im Weinbaugebiet Bourgogne angebaut. Umgeben wird Fontaines von den Nachbargemeinden Rully im Norden, Chagny im Norden und Nordosten, Lessard-le-National im Osten, Fragnes-La Loyère im Südosten, Farges-lès-Chalon im Süden und Südosten, Mellecey im Süden und Südwesten sowie Mercurey im Westen.
