Die Calvet-Stiftung ist eine Institution, die vor über zwei Jahrhunderten gegründet wurde. Sie befindet sich in Avignon und ist eine autonome öffentliche Einrichtung, die aus dem Willen von Esprit Calvet hervorging.
Als großer Sammler und ausgebildeter Physiokrat widmete er sein ganzes Leben der Medizin und den Künsten. Getrieben von Großzügigkeit und einem spirituellen Anspruch vermachte er sein gesamtes Vermögen der Institution, die seinen Namen tragen sollte.
