Couiza ist ein südfranzösischer Ort und eine Gemeinde mit 1.118 Einwohnern im Département Aude in der Region Okzitanien.Der Ort Couiza liegt in einer Höhe von etwa 225 m an der Einmündung des Flusses Sals in die Aude etwa 41 Kilometer südlich von Carcassonne bzw. etwa 16 Kilometer südlich von Limoux. Die Burg Arques befindet sich etwa elf Kilometer östlich; die Ortschaft Rennes-le-Château liegt etwa fünf Kilometer südlich. Das Gemeindegebiet ist Teil des Regionalen Naturparks Corbières-Fenouillèdes. Das Klima ist gemäßigt bis mild; Regen fällt übers Jahr verteilt.
