Die Schlacht um Cherbourg fand im Zweiten Weltkrieg während der Schlacht in der Normandie im Juni 1944 statt. Ursprünglich beabsichtigten die Alliierten, die französische Stadt Cherbourg bei der Operation Neptune zusammen mit anderen wichtigen Städten der Normandie wie beispielsweise Caen zu erobern. Aufgrund des hartnäckigen Widerstands der deutschen Truppen konnten sie Cherbourg jedoch erst am 27. Juni 1944 einnehmen.
