Diese Espaces Naturels Sensibles zeichnen sich für die Domaine de Certes durch von Menschenhand angelegte Deiche aus: Salzgärten und ehemalige Fischreservoirs, und für die Domaine de Graveyron: Feuchtwiesen und Salzwiesen.
Dieses Gebiet beherbergt das ganze Jahr über zahlreiche Vogelpopulationen, darunter einige seltene und geschützte Arten.
