Die Kirche profitiert von den diskreten Anhöhen des Dorfes Veymerange und dominiert es. Ihr Glockenturm wächst in die Höhe, während sich ihre Fassaden in aller Schlichtheit erheben. Die Kirche von Veymerange, die im Mittelalter von Nonnen bewohnt wurde, war bald zu klein, um eine größere Anzahl von Gläubigen aufzunehmen. Im 19. Jahrhundert wurde sie vergrößert. Die Schlichtheit bestimmt auch das Innere des Gebäudes mit Glasfenstern aus dem Jahr 1913 und Spitzbögen, die die Attribute des heiligen Petrus aufgreifen.
