Die Schule öffnet sich der breiten Öffentlichkeit:
Die ÉSAL teilt regelmäßig die Forschungen und Errungenschaften der Studierenden in beruflichen Situationen und Interventionen von Künstlern und Kunsttheoretikern: Abendtreffen (Vorträge über Kunst, Soziologie und Anthropologie), Ausstellungen, Studientage, etc.
Die ESAL bietet an Wochentagen abends offene Workshops für die künstlerische Praxis und ein einwöchiges Praktikum für junge Leute in der Schule und mit ihren Einrichtungen an, bei dem sie mit Lehrern und Künstlern in Kontakt kommen, die größtenteils Absolventen der ESAL sind.
