Das Museum befindet sich in einem der emblematischen Orte der Stadt Gradignan, dem Priorat von Cayac, und stellt Werke von Georges de Sonneville aus, der als der große Maler der "verrückten Jahre" in Bordeaux und Gründer des Salon des Indépendants gilt. Dies ist der Vorwand, um anhand verschiedener Ausstellungen die Entwicklung der Kunst im 20. Jahrhundert aus pädagogischer Sicht zu entdecken.
