Das Dorf Kuhlendorf, das neben Betschdorf und in der Nähe von Soultz-sous-Forêts liegt, besitzt die einzige Fachwerkkirche im Nordelsass. Sie stammt aus dem Jahr 1820 und steht unter Denkmalschutz. Das Gebäude diente nicht nur als Kirche, sondern in seinem hinteren Teil auch als Schule. Dort befand sich ein Klassenzimmer und im Obergeschoss eine Wohnung für den Lehrer. Öffnen Sie die alte Tür der Schule und sehen Sie sich die Originalmöbel an.
Nur wenige Schritte entfernt befindet sich das "Wachthiesel", ein hölzernes Wachhaus aus dem 19.
Jahrhundert. Am Dorfausgang in Richtung Soultz-sous-Forêts gibt es einen Picknick- und Spielplatz.
