Durch seine militärischen Taten, seine Karriere als Diplomat und Gläubiger am Hof der Herzöge von Anjou und der Könige von Frankreich konnte der Ritter de Beauvau ein beträchtliches Vermögen anhäufen. Im Jahr 1439 begannen die Bauarbeiten für sein neues Schloss: ein sechseckiger Bergfried mit bemerkenswerten Proportionen, eine Kapelle, die als Wunder der Flamboyant-Gotik gilt, sowie der Innenhof mit zwei übereinander liegenden Galerien, die von Feinheit und Raffinesse zeugen.
Am Ende des Besuchs nehmen Sie an einem Rätselspiel teil, um die Identität eines Ritters zu finden. Dies ist die Entdeckung der heraldischen Kunst. Diese neue Aktivität wurde 2021 von der Agentur für Kreativität und Attraktivität des Poitou (ACAP) als "Coup de c?ur" ausgezeichnet.
