Der Plage de la Ponche liegt zwischen dem Tour du Portalet und dem Tour Vieille , mitten im alten Fischerviertel La Ponche , und ist ein etwa 50 Meter langer historischer Strand, der nur zu Fuß über den Hafen oder die Zitadelle erreichbar ist.
Es handelt sich um einen Strand aus Sand und Kieselsteinen mit einer Betonplattform auf der einen Seite, die den Zugang zum Wasser über eine Eisentreppe erleichtert, ein geschützter Ort : ideal für alle, die sich abkühlen oder ihre Füße kühlen möchten, und außerdem eine malerische und friedliche Umgebung.
Es ist einer der Orte, an denen der legendäre Film „ Et Dieu... crea la femme“ mit Brigitte Bardot gedreht wurde, der teilweise an dieser Küste gedreht wurde.
