Das Banqueting House in Whitehall, Westminster, London , ist das einzige heute noch bestehende Gebäude des Whitehall-Palastes, der 1698 niederbrannte.
Das Banqueting House wurde von Inigo Jones, der sich von den Bauten des italienischen Architekten Andrea Palladio inspirieren ließ, für den Stuart-König Jakob I. entworfen und unter seiner Leitung von 1619 bis 1622 errichtet. Im Keller wurde von Isaac de Caus eine Grotte installiert. Es ist der dritte Bankettsaal an dieser Stelle. Der erste Saal wurde unter Jakob I. abgerissen, der zweite durch einen Brand zerstört. Mit dem dritten Bau erhielt London sein erstes klassizistisches Bauwerk. Das Banqueting House war seinerzeit ein Meilenstein in der Geschichte der englischen Architektur und begründete den sogenannten Palladian Style . Verwendet wurde zum Bau hauptsächlich Portland-Stein, aus dem auch die heutige Fassade besteht.
