Hawkesbury ist eine Ansiedlung, die aus einigen Cottages rund um ein dreieckiges Grün besteht. Es ist auch der Name einer Zivilgemeinde in der South Gloucestershire Unitary Authority in England, in der Hawkesbury selbst liegt, westlich von Hawkesbury Upton, an der A46.
Die Zivilgemeinde umfasst Hawkesbury selbst, das größere Dorf Hawkesbury Upton und die Weiler Dunkirk, Petty France und Little Badminton. Laut der Volkszählung von 2001 hatte die Gemeinde eine Bevölkerung von 1.235, die bei der Volkszählung von 2011 auf 1.263 anstieg. Vor 1991 bildete der heute zur Hillesley und Tresham Gemeinde im Bezirk Stroud gehörende Teil den nördlichen Teil der Gemeinde.
