Die Gateshead Millennium Bridge in England ist die erste Brücke, die um die Längsachse durch ihre Angelpunkte rotiert werden kann, um Schiffen die Passage unter der Brücke zu ermöglichen. Technisch ist es eine Kippbrücke und ermöglicht Fußgängern und Radfahrern eine bequeme Überquerung des Flusses Tyne fast ebenerdig.
Die Brücke verbindet die Nachbarstadt Newcastle mit der Konzerthalle The Sage Gateshead und dem Museum The Baltic, die sich beide in Gateshead befinden.
Das Bauwerk planten die Bauingenieure Gifford and Partners aus Southampton zusammen mit dem Architekturbüro WilkinsonEyre Architects aus London.
