Der Anschlag von Bologna war ein Bombenanschlag auf den Hauptbahnhof der italienischen Stadt Bologna am Morgen des 2. August 1980. Bei dem Anschlag starben 85 Menschen, mehr als 200 wurden verletzt. Unmittelbar nach dem Anschlag wurden sowohl links- wie auch rechtsextremistische Terrorgruppen der Täterschaft bezichtigt, für beide Seiten gingen verschiedene Bekenneranrufe bei der Polizei ein. Nach sechs Jahren Ermittlung konnte Untersuchungsrichter Felice Casson nachweisen, dass es sich bei den Tätern um Neofaschisten handeln muss, die Kontakte zum italienischen Militärgeheimdienst pflegten. Nun wurde die neofaschistische Terrororganisation Ordine Nuovo beschuldigt, den Anschlag verübt zu haben. Zwei Agenten des italienischen Geheimdienstes SISMI und der Vorsitzende der Propaganda Due , Licio Gelli, wurden wegen Behinderung der Ermittlungsarbeiten verurteilt.
