Die 1530 gegründete und 1572 geweihte Kirche gehörte den Gesuate-Nonnen von Lucca. Zwischen 1707 und 1710 wurde es komplett umgebaut.
Der quadratische Glockenturm ist aus Backstein und stammt aus dem Jahr 1710. Er wurde gebaut, um einen bestehenden aus dem Jahr 1614 zu ersetzen.
Im Inneren befinden sich eine Agati-Orgel aus dem 19. Jahrhundert und Gemälde aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Der unter dem Kreuz gefallene Christus, der in einer Nische in der rechten Wand aufgestellt ist, stammt aus dem Jahr 1705: Es handelt sich um eine mit weißem Stuck überzogene Holzskulptur, die von Giuseppe Giacobbi für die Kartause von Calci angefertigt und an ihren heutigen Standort versetzt wurde 1808 verlegt.
