Das Groninger Museum ist ein Museum in der Stadt Groningen und eine der Top-Attraktionen der Provinz mit einer Besucherzahl von circa 200.000 Besuchern pro Jahr. Im Jahr 2016 erlangte das Groninger Museum nationale Bekanntheit durch eine Ausstellung des erst kürzlich verstorbenen David Bowie.
Die Sammlung des Groninger Museums besteht aus mehr als 80.000 Objekten. In der Sammlung lassen sich verschiedene Teilbereiche unterschieden, wie: Bildende Kunst, Chinesisches und Japanisches Porzellan, De Ploeg, Fotografie, Zeitgenössische Kunst, Mode, Alte bildende Kunst, Gestaltung.
Das Groninger Museum besteht aus verschiedenen „Inseln“, die im Verbindingskanaal liegen. Diese Inseln sind wiederum in verschiedene Pavillons unterteilt, die von verschiedenen Designern entworfen wurden.
