Die Haftanstalt Bastøy ist ein norwegisches Gefängnis zur Verwahrung von Strafgefangenen in der Provinz Vestfold og Telemark. Es befindet sich auf der Insel Bastøy im Oslofjord etwa 75 Kilometer südlich von Oslo. Die Insel ist rund 2,6 km² groß. Etwa 100 Straftäter befinden sich auf der Gefängnisinsel, die mit einem liberalen Konzept betrieben wird.
Bis 1970 gab es auf der Insel eine Besserungsanstalt für Jungen. Diese wurde nach einer norwegischen Gesetzgebung zum „Umgang mit vernachlässigten Kindern“ aus dem Jahr 1896 errichtet. Der Film King of Devil’s Island aus dem Jahr 2010 von Marius Holst thematisiert die inhumanen Bedingungen für die Jungen in der Anstalt und beruht auf wahren Begebenheiten.
