Eine Sehenswürdigkeit ist die Stabkirche aus der Zeit zwischen 1150 und 1200. Sie hat 160 Plätze. 1652 bekam die Kirche Fenster, 1666 eine Kanzel, 1697/1698 ein Querschiff, 1702 eine Empore und 1739 eine Sakristei. Von der ursprünglichen Kirche sind nur noch die vier Eckpfeiler erhalten. In der Kirche befindet sich eine Barock-Altartafel aus der Zeit um 1670. Die Wandmalereien sind vorwiegend in Blau gehalten und tragen mehrere Porträts von Pfarrern aus dem 17. bis 19. Jahrhundert.
Aus Rollag stammt der norwegische Skispringer Sigurd Pettersen, mit ihm hat in der Saison 2003/2004 erstmals seit 1994 wieder ein Norweger die Vier-Schanzen-Tournee gewonnen. Er ist der Sohn des Bürgermeisters von Rollag Steinar Berthelsen.
