Die Erschaffung Adams ist ein oft reproduzierter Ausschnitt aus dem Deckenfresko des Malers Michelangelo Buonarroti in der Sixtinischen Kapelle. Es gehört zu einem Zyklus von neun Einzelfresken, welche Gen 1-9 bildlich umsetzen. Dargestellt wird, wie Gottvater mit ausgestrecktem Zeigefinger Adam zum Leben erweckt.
Das Bild zeigt auf der linken Seite Adam, der seinen linken Zeigefinger ausstreckt, um Gott zu erreichen. Gottvater streckt, kraftvoller und anmutiger, seinen rechten Zeigefinger aus, um auf Adam den Lebensfunken überspringen zu lassen.
