A vast walking and cycling area located between the Provincial Domain Lippensgoed-Bulskampveld and Doomkerke, with many forests, avenues, and meadows. In the middle of this area lie several very remarkable sites such as:
The Community Institution 'de Zande' with its classified buildings.
The Radio Maritime Services with the radio towers that used to provide connections with seagoing ships. The buildings and installations are classified and a nature reserve is being developed around these buildings. This area is owned by the Ministry of Defense.
Visits can only be arranged by appointment with Natuurpunt (tel. 050/78.94.63).
The nature reserve 'de Gulke Putten' with its peat and wet heath can only be visited by appointment with Natuurpunt (tel. 050/78.94.63). In the vicinity, there are two signposted walking paths of 4 km.
