Moen is a village in the Belgian province of West Flanders. It is a part of the municipality of Zwevegem. Moen was an independent municipality until the municipal reorganization of 1977.In a 13th century copy of a manuscript from 988 was mentioned for the first time, as Mulnis. The oldest original charter dates back to 1175, where the name Mosnes was used. The name may have been derived from mullet.
