Julémont is a village in the Belgian province of Liège and a part of the municipality of Herve. The village has about 200 inhabitants and is located on the plateau of the Land of Herve.
According to a popular legend, the village would be named Julie-mons or Mons Julius because of a military camp of Julius Caesar that supposedly existed at the site of the current church. The archives indicate another origin of the name. In the year 1117, the place Gislerimons is mentioned for the first time in the archives of Liège.
