The Belgian military cemetery of Steenkerke is a military cemetery with fallen Belgian soldiers from the First World War. The cemetery is located on Steenkerkestraat, behind the church of the village of Steenkerke. This cemetery covers an area of 54 ares, containing 534 graves of Belgian soldiers. There are still nine graves with a hero's tribute stone, as originally designed by Joe English. It was also here that Joe English was originally buried. The very first Iron Pilgrimage took place here in 1920.
