Parish church of St. Joseph in the remote southern hamlet of Kastel. This isolated church village is surrounded on three sides by the Scheldt (to the east, south, and west). The west-facing church, located in the residential core of Moerzeke-Kastel, was built on a narrow and deep church square accessible from Ganzenberg and Baasrodeveerstraat (between numbers 20 and 24). Somewhat elevated, it is placed with the facade facing Baasrodeveerstraat. The surrounding garden next to and behind the church is enclosed by a low, whitewashed brick wall. A curved iron gate between brick gate pillars on either side of the church's facade.
