The slopes of the Meuse retain the traces of an old wine-growing tradition, as can be seen from the few summerhouses still left, including the Grands-Malades. These small structures were used to store the equipment used for tending vines and making wine, sheltering them from the weather.
Situated on the side of the slopes and at one time in the middle of a vineyard, this small brick building, partly covered in cement, is square in shape and has a pavilion roof that has been fully restored. The building is accessed through a tall doorway capped by an arched transom window, very similar to the ones that top the windows in each of the walls. It is extended by a terrace built over a tank to the east.
Building listed on 17th August 1993
