Straddling the roadway in order to connect the lands formerly belonging to the Chartreuse, this monumental gate made of brick and limestone was erected around 1600 and restored in the first half of the 18th century. It is a rectangular building, flanked at the rear by a square turret topped with a pavilion. The construction opens at the ground floor with a wide pointed arch passage lined with a triple roll of bricks. The upper floor is pierced with recent arrow slits and adorned with an elegant niche in tuffeau on both sides. The gable roof is accentuated by a tooth-patterned frieze.
Classified as a monument on June 5, 1981.
