Located south of the church, the walled villa known as "Klein Kasteeltje," built on a core dating back to at least the 16th century, the former remarkable feudal walled motte with a drawbridge; the apanage area of the Lords of Mullem during the Middle Ages. Originally only accessible via the adjacent lower court that led to a large square surrounded by rural buildings and dovecotes. Operated as an inn around 1910. In 1919 owned by F. Neve, G. Van Oost had it rebuilt around 1920 by architect Ch. Hoge. From 1948 it has belonged to Baroness de Gerlache de Gomery. In the midst of a grazed and wooded enclosed garden lies the regionalist villa under a staggered gable roof (tiles, ridge parallel to the street) with dormer windows under gable roofs and a tower with window openings, topped by a polygonal roof tapering to a spire (slates). Brick facades rhythmically punctuated by rectangular wall openings and barred windows with stone frames.
