The Sint-Martinuskerk is one of the most visited churches in the Pajottenland because of the stained glass windows made by H. Heyden, the stone catechism and the Pietje de Dood on the rood screen. More than 30 devils are also hidden in the church building. The stained glass windows were installed at the request of Father Cuylits between 1901 and 1903. It is remarkable that most of the figures and persons depicted on it bear the facial features of some inhabitants of Strijtem. Pastor Cuylits and then minister Woeste are also recognizable.
