The La Roche cemetery was not always in its current location.
Originally, the cemetery was located around the Sint Niklaas Church. It then moved to what is now the "Quai de l'Ourthe" multi-storey car park. As it became too small, it was eventually moved to where you find it now.
The cemetery contains some notable tombs including a Lourdes grotto and 3 chapels.
Interestingly, I have also found graves with headstones for couples that did not have the date of death inscribed , which would suggest that the Beoioides are still alive but have already provided a headstone?
