The Institut Saint-Joseph Sacré Cœur de la Roche en Ardenne has its origins in 1836 when the Sisters of Providence of Champion opened a kindergarten and primary school for girls in the Faubourg district: the Institut Saint-Joseph.

The building is high above the city. It is accessible from the ground floor by walking along Rue Corumont and further by stairs. You arrive and park with the statue of a teaching Jesus.
