Running as long as you can. In 35 countries. All at the same time. That's the concept behind the Wings For Life World Run. On May 4th, 2014, all over the world people will run for those who can't: people with spinal cord injury.Whether you run 100, 42, 18 or 2 kilometers, everyone can participate. You just have to register. All registration fees will be donated entirely to Wings For Life, the organization who seeks to find a cure for spinal cord injuries.

The Belgian Wings For Life World Run team has found the perfect spot to start the race: the proud city of Ieper in the heart of occidental Flanders. At precisely 12:00 noon the run will start on the 'Grote Markt', the town's central plaza, after which the track will take you through the 'Menenpoort' along the magnificent, flat landscape of the south-occidental Flemish 'polders'.
Runners competing for the win will have a significant advantage when running in the flat Flanders Fields. Adding the comfortable starting time, the pleasant spring time temperature and the fast lay-out of the track with very little altitude difference, and anyone will understand why the Belgian Wings For Life World Run is considered to be one of the favorites for delivering the global winner.
