Hasle bei Burgdorf is a municipality in the administrative district of Emmental in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.
The settlements Uetigen , Gomerkinden , Bigel and further hamlets were first mentioned as soon as 894 in a bestowment to the Abbey of St. Gall. Hasel, however, was only mentioned in 1225 as Hasela. The village has since been called Hasle , Hassly , and Hassle . The name can be traced back to the Old High German word hasal, meaning hazel bush.
