The Furka Pass (in German Furkapass) is a pass of the Swiss Alps culminating at 2,429 meters above sea level. It connects the Rhone Valley to Andermatt. The pass is the fourth highest road pass in the Swiss Alps.
On the western slope, the pass road passes a few hundred meters from the Rhone glacier, source of the river of the same name, and allows to discover it from a promontory. On the west side, as far as Gletsch (1,753 m), the Furka pass road is the same as that of the Grimsel pass.
