The St-Martin bridge spans the Flon valley. It passes over St-Martin street and supports the tracks of the M2 metro line between the Viret tunnel, heading towards the Riponne-Maurice Béjart station, and the Bessières station, the latter being directly excavated into the east abutment of the Bessières bridge.
Built by Métro-SRA, it is a three-span beam bridge, made of prestressed concrete 5 m above the ground. It is located directly beneath the Bessières bridge, whose two abutments were pierced to allow for its construction and the passage of the metro. Its two piers are located on either side of St-Martin street. Its cost was estimated at 2.8 million francs.
