The Grauholz monument commemorates the Battle of Grauholz and is located on the wooded ridge of Grauholz in the municipality of Moosseedorf in the Canton of Bern, Switzerland, and is clearly visible from the A1 motorway, driving towards Bern on the right side.
It is made of white Solothurn limestone, has the shape of a truncated column, and, together with its base, stands 12 meters tall. Commissioned by the cantonal Bernese officers' association, it was created according to a design that won a competition by the Bernese Gottlieb Hirsbrunner, sculpted by the Ticinese artist Luigi Piffaretti, and was inaugurated in 1886.
