Eisenach, sometimes referred to as Wartburg City Eisenach, is located at the northwestern end of the Thüringer Wald, at the foot of the Wartburg mountain and the impressive 11th-century Wartburg castle. Eisenach is small but the role it has played in German history is all the greater. Wartburg was one of those legendary East German car brands.
