The municipal area of Güby extends in the region of the natural spatial main unit Schwansen, Danish Wohld on the southern shore of the elongated Baltic Sea bay Schlei at its widest point, the Great Width.
The municipal area can be geographically divided into the villages of the name-giving village and the other residential places Ahrensberg-Louisenlund, Esprehm, and parts of Wolfskrug.
