The PRIMUS-Schule Schalksmühle is a primary and lower secondary school in the municipality of Schalksmühle in the PRIMUS school experiment. It is located in the Schalksmühl district of Rotthausen. In addition to Schalksmühle, the catchment area also includes Breckerfeld, Hagen, Halver and Lüdenscheid.
The school used to be located in Friedhofstraße and Bergstraße and consisted of three buildings. In the main building on Friedhofstraße, one of the oldest school buildings in Schalksmühle, there were mainly classrooms and the school organization. In the former elementary school building on Bergstraße and in the courtyard building, there were almost exclusively specialist rooms for teaching biology, chemistry and computer science, home economics, art and music, physics, technology and textile design.
