Our wildlife park is just a few minutes' walk from the city center. Spanning more than 250 hectares, the wildlife park invites you to walk, jog, or simply linger and enjoy. You can explore the park on four smaller circular paths and one large circular trail.
In the park landscape, beech, oak, and mixed forests alternate continually. Behind every slight bend in the path, a breathtaking new view awaits. Two large ponds and many smaller puddles complete the scenic picture of the wildlife park. Discover fallow deer, sheep, and Heidschnucken that live completely free in the park. Stand directly opposite the native animals in their enclosure—without being separated by a fence.
The history of the wildlife park dates back to the 19th century. In the eastern part, the remains of an English park designed by order of the Duke of Croÿ can still be found, and the wildlife park still remains in his possession.
