Steinloger cellar stones

The Steinloger Kellersteine are two closely situated Neolithic large stone graves of the passage grave type with the Sprockhoff numbers 941 and 942. They were created between 3500 and 2800 BC and are megalithic structures of the Funnel Beaker culture.

The Steinloger Kellersteine are located about 500 m south of the A1 and simultaneously about 500 m west of the Varnhorner Weg road in a forested area of the Großenkneter district of Steinloge, halfway between Ahlhorn and Wildeshausen in the Oldenburg district. The nature reserve Bäken of the Endeler and Holzhauser Heide is situated about 500 m south of the megalithic structures. The name "Kellersteine" is represented three times in the Wildeshauser Geest. The other groups consist of the further west located Ahlhorner Kellersteine and the further east located Holzhauser Kellersteine.
