Gentzrode

The estate of Gentzrode is a listed building in the urban area of Neuruppin, near the town center. The buildings, which were constructed in Moorish style for Alexander Gentz starting in 1861, are unique architectural monuments. The park, a designed courtyard, and the tree nursery were established by the founder of the estate, merchant Alexander Gentz from Neuruppin, upon the purchase of the land.

The estate and park complex is a unique testimony to the building and garden art of the 19th century. The Brandenburg State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments considers this exceptional complex to be a monument of regional importance and classifies it as a monument of national significance.
