Bad Senkelteich is a mud bath in the district of Valdorf in the East Westphalian town of Vlotho in the northeast of North Rhine-Westphalia. The name of the bath comes from the pond of the same name located in this place.
The mud bath, which was formerly built as a farmer's bath, has been a state-approved climatic health resort with spa operations since 1978. The pond, which was created by a sinkhole and has a rich peat bog deposit, is located in a funnel-shaped valley basin in which freshwater and sulphur springs rise. Since 1982, Bad Senkelteich has had a spa park of about four hectares in size, which extends along the Linnenbeeke to the neighboring Bad Seebruch.
