The Niederweimar Lake Park is a commercially operated swimming lake and a local recreation area near Marburg in the southern part of the Marburg-Biedenkopf district. It is also known as the Weimar Lake recreation area.
The Lake Park is located east of Niederweimar, a district of the municipality of Weimar in the southern part of the Marburg-Biedenkopf district, directly adjacent to the Main-Weser Railway and the Lahn Valley Cycle Path. The cycle path and the railway connect Kassel to Gießen and further towards Frankfurt. On the eastern side of the lake are the motorway and Federal Highway 3, and on the western side, the Frankfurt-Kassel rail connection runs alongside with a station.
