Lissingen is – after the central city itself – the largest district as well as a local district of the town of Gerolstein in the municipality of the same name in the Vulkaneifel district of Rhineland-Palatinate.
The district of Lissingen is located on the Kyll river. The Oosbach and Dreisbach rivers flow through the town and discharge into the river here. The former Alten Lissinger Weg has long fused this district with the central city of Gerolstein, where the Rasbach, originating in the Gerolsteiner Forest, forms the boundary of the district.
