It is a long journey through time - three thousand years back into the past. There, where the people in Uelsen's hilly landscape have found favorable living conditions, lie the beginnings of the first settlement that dates back many millennia. In Uelsen, a whole farm from 3000 years ago is gradually being created - you can already visit the large farmhouse equipped with many utensils. A special experience includes baking bread and smoking fish in a prehistoric manner in clay ovens. In the main house, cooking is done in clay pots in the style of the Bronze Age.



Once a year, the Uelsen Bronze Age Days take place, where many craftsmen and artists showcase their Bronze Age skills - weaving, dyeing wool, pouring bronze, pottery, and even making music with one of the famous Lurs. Of course, there are many hands-on activities, and the Bronze Age kitchen has a lot to offer.

In the coming years, a variety of buildings such as storage rooms, workshops, fields, gardens, and fields will be added. You can thus follow how a piece of a millennia-old cultural landscape is being revived. Soon, an exhibition on the subject will also be on display in the café of the neighboring historical Blekker farm.

Opening hours: April-October Sundays from 14:00 to 18:00. On the first Sunday of each month, bread is baked and fish is smoked.
