Löwenberg is a district of the municipality of Löwenberger Land in the Oberhavel district and the seat of the municipal administration. In the Middle Ages, Löwenberg was a small town and the main settlement of the historical region of Löwenberg, but subsequently declined to a street village.
Löwenberg is located at the southern edge of the Granseer's plateau natural area. In the locality, Federal Highway 96 and Federal Highway 167 intersect. The district includes the residential area Ausbau Mon-Caprice at Lake Moncaprice. Löwenberg borders the district of Neuhäsen to the north, the districts of Häsen and Neulöwenberg to the east, the district of Teschendorf to the south, and the districts of Linde and Hoppenrade to the west.
