Oberscheuren

Oberscheuren is a district of the city of Königswinter in the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis of North Rhine-Westphalia. It belongs to the district of Stieldorf and the municipality of Rauschendorf. As of March 31, 2021, Oberscheuren had a population of 126 inhabitants.
The hamlet of Oberscheuren is located two kilometers northeast of Stieldorf in the Pleiser Hill Country, just east of the Federal Motorway 3, about 300 m west and 15 m above Niederscheuren at nearly 110 m above sea level, and on a terrain that slopes down to the Pleisbach to the northeast. The nearest localities include Niederscheuren to the east, Dambroich to the north, Scheurenmühle to the east, and Rauschendorf on the opposite side of the motorway to the west. Access to the neighboring towns from Oberscheuren is possible exclusively via municipal connecting roads, which can be reached via the state road 143 running just northeast.
