The Neuss Private School is a private school founded in 1971 in the Neuss Barbaraviertel, west of Düsseldorf-Heerdt in the Rhine district of Neuss, which uses a listed building as its school building. It is officially recognized by the school law of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and prepares students from grade 5 for the technical college entrance qualification after grade 10 and the Abitur after grade 13. As a supplementary school, it cannot conduct its own examinations. Therefore, external examinations for the technical college entrance qualification and Abitur for external students are carried out in the Düsseldorf district of Benrath. The Neuss Private School offers smaller class sizes and more instruction in the main subjects than public schools. During the coronavirus pandemic, online classes via Microsoft Teams were introduced in March 2020.
